Macaroni & Cheese

Ingredients
  • 6 tbl Butter
  • 6 tbl Flour
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 1 pound shredded or small cubes sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 2-1/2 cups Elbow Macaroni
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
  1. Add macaroni to 4 quarts of boiling water. Cook for 10 minutes stiring often. Drain and add to large baking dish (at least 4 qts)
  2. In a large frying pan, melt butter, add flour, cook together until it starts to brown.
  3. Add 1 cup of the milk, cook until smooth and bubbly, add 2nd cup, cook until smooth and bubbly, add the remainder of milk, cook until smooth and creamy. Salt & Pepper to taste.
  4. Add cheese and stir until it is melted and blended well.
  5. Pour over cooked macaroni and mix well.

    Bake in covered dish at 350* oven for 45 minutes.
