Blueberry Crumble Cake

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsps baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries ( thaw & drain)
- 1 cup walnuts or Pecans broken pieces are Optional
Topping:
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup of chopped Nuts is optional
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375*
- Lightly grease an 8" X 8" baking pan
- Cream together, sugar, shortening, and egg
- In a seperate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir into sugar mixture alternating with milk. Fold in Blueberries & Nuts. Pour into greased pan.
- Crumble:
Combine butter, sugar, flour and cinnamon until crumbly. Stir in Nuts and set aside. Sprinkle over cake batter
- Bake for 25-30 minutes
