Apple/Cake

Ingredients for Apple Mixture
- 2/3 Cup butter
- 8 to 10 Fuji Apples (depends on size)
- 1 Cup Light Brown Sugar
Ingredients for White Cake
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder Sift Together
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 2/3 cup milk add, beat for 2 minutes
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/3 cup milk add, beat 2 more minutes
- 1 egg
Directions
- Heat oven to 350*
- Melt 2/3 cup butter in bottom of 9 X 13 pan, sprinkle brown sugar evenly over bottom of pan.
- Peel, slice and add the apples.
- Pour the cake mixture over the apples and spread out evenly.
- Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until a nice deep brown on top.
- Serve warm with whipped cream.
